Royal Gate Kensington is a high quality residential development fronting Wright’s Lane, off High Street Kensington.

Royal Gate was one of the first major residential schemes to take place in the current cycle. This was the client’s first major development in London and the brief was to provide the maximum number of apartments on the site using a very traditional architectural expression. The design is derived from the traditional Kensington and Chelsea Mansion block. The development comprises 134 luxury apartments and penthouses situated in three independent blocks with four levels of underground parking. In addition there is a private fitness centre, gymnasium and sauna.

The planning strategy took advantage of the building envelope created by a previous consent for office development. Together with detailed analysis of rights to light and massing issues, we secured one of the highest residential densities in Central London.
