The original property, which is in the Edwards Square conservation area, was set out over 3 floors with a retail unit at ground floor level. Permission for change of use had to be obtained in order to return the property to a single residential property.
Extensive remodelling, refurbishment and elements of new construction have produced a home of very high specification that includes 4 en suite bedrooms, separate staff flat, large reception rooms and a new private roof terrace with pavilion.
Formation Architects worked in close conjunction with interior designers Camu Associates and specialist sub-contractors on the project. Regular detailed workshops were held to facilitate the delivery of the bespoke joinery and finishes in the property as well as the co-ordination of services. The main kitchen is by the German company Bulthaup.
