Scheme description
This scheme received planning permission from the London?Borough of Merton in November 2004. It comprises 570 apartments, including affordable housing, and 2,300 sq m (25,000 sq ft ) of commercial space. It transforms the now derelict site of the former Wimbledon Football Club into a contemporary urban quarter with a new public square at its heart. The buildings are grouped around semi-public gardens echoing the tradition of London garden squares.
