Scheme description

This scheme is for a site very close to our offices in Wenlock Road in the London Borough of Hackney. The site surrounds but does not include a very traditional Victorian London pub which stands on one of its corners. The new design unmistakeably contemporary in its architectural approach whilst taking its cues from the materials and detailing of the traditional Victorian architecture of the adjacent streets. The apartments are arranged around a central courtyard at first floor leaving the ground and basement for commercial uses. This scheme forms part of the same application as our scheme for 1-3 Wenlock Road providing the affordable element for the private apartments further down the same street.
