Experience:
Simon Roden graduated from the University of Sheffield with First Class Honours. After qualifying as an architect in 1987 he joined the Irish modernist practice Scott Tallon Walker, working in their London office. He spent 20 years at the practice, and was made an Associate in 1994 and co-ran the office from 2000. During his time there he was responsible for a large variety of projects in both the UK and Ireland, ranging from schools, university buildings & churches, to hotels, residential schemes, offices, factories & warehouses.
He has been closely involved with many of the practice’s award winning projects, most recently the largest city centre regeneration project in the City of Cork which consisted of a 200 bed hotel, apartment building, offices, conference centre, health club, riverside boardwalk & underground car park.
Simon joined Formation Architects in March 2007 as an Associate Director, to help develop the practice, diversify into new areas of work and take on major new projects. He is currently leading on a variety of projects including the Savernake Club hotel and resort scheme and residential schemes in Sutton and Southsea, Portsmouth.
