Katherine McNeil studied at the Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow with a year of working in Edinburgh with Reiach & Hall Architects. On completing her diploma she moved to London, working with leading practices including Lifschutz Davidson and Penoyre and Prasad.
Her work has encompassed many building typologies, initially focusing on establishing a base of technical experience and culminating in leading the Weston House project for the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children with Anshen Dyer. She has taught at the Mackintosh and Kingston Schools of Architecture.
Katherine joined Formation Architects in August 2005 initially working on the Elektron project. She is currently running Murray House in Westminster which was awarded Planning Approval in October of this year.
Katherine’s areas of interest include an intuitive architecture based on a dialogue with the project’s social, spatial and programming contexts.
