Experience
George Scott studied at Bath university and the Architectural Association. On graduating from the AA he worked in Edinburgh for Nicholas Groves-Raines Architects on a health centre and historic restoration projects. From 1985 to 1993 He worked in Milan, first with Canella + Achilli Associates and latterly for Sottsass Associates.
Returning to the UK, he worked for Arup Associates until 2002, mostly running commercial office new build projects. From 2002 to 2004 he worked as one of Alistair Lansley’s senior architects as part of the Arup team detailing and planning St. Pancras International. From 2004 to 2007 he worked as an Associate for Levitt Bernstein Associates. AT LBA he oversaw the restoration of the grade 2 listed Brunswick centre in Bloomsbury and the construction of a large housing project for Hyde Housing in Southwark currently due for completion in 2009.
George joined Formation in December 2007as an Associate Director. At Formation he hopes to offer the benefit of his experience in designing and detailing buildings in a collaborative way with contractors and clients. He likes to detail buildings simply and in a sustainable way with an eye to client’s budgets.
